I returned a hair dryer for $358 on December 13, 2023. I have still not received the refund - after spending 6 hours on the phone with different representatives and several email exchanges.
When a representative as emailed me, the text is incomprehensible but does say: "The process of your refund is in process.
The machine arrived to the warehouse." Despite this acknowledgment of receipt of the return, the money is not in my account and I am told that I have to wait 2 billing cycles which have long past. I'm writing this now while on hold with a representative waiting for a manager for 58 minutes.

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: I have been trying to return an ordered item that doesn’t work with my Dyson.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I kept replying to the various customer service emails for the US and told them I needed a return authorization number.
I finally got the authorization after wading through BS dealing with their customer service people in a foreign country even though they are supposed to be the US customer service. I have sent the package back but their emails haven’t stopped and are now worthless.
User's recommendation: Never buy anything directly from Dyson because if you need to return it GOOD LUCK!

Purchased a V10 Animal about 5 years ago and it stopped working. I contacted Dyson who diagnosed the problem and said that I needed a new head unit. I received the new head unit with instructions a week later.
While trying to swap out the head unit I was required to remove three small screws. The last screw was difficult to remove, so I increased the pressure on the screw. All of a sudden I heard a loud pop and saw a ball of fire in front of my face. I was able to pick up the unit that was on fire and throw it on my deck. Unfortunately, it burnt *** in my carpet and couch.
So, I understand that products have issues, but what is not excusable is Dysons customer service. I have been trying to get someone on the phone with Dyson for almost 2 weeks now. Not one person has called me back, although I have left 5 phone messages with customer service.
You would think a big company like Dyson would get back to you with a serious problem like almost catching my home on fire. NOT ONE CALL!!
I have been pleased with the Dyson products I have purchased over the years. Although, I never needed to call customer service. Now that I have gone through this horrible experience, I will post this same review on as many sites that I can. I will never purchase a Dyson product again!!!

I called to cancel my order before the vacuum was shipped. I was told this will be taken care of.
2 days later the product was shipped. I called again and was told they would intercept it and send it back. And to watch for my refund. Waited a couple weeks and still no refund.
I called again 4 weeks after they received the product and was told that a refund was never placed and they would now take care of it. Here we are today, 14 business days later and still no refund. Its been 7 weeks and it sounds like I have to start back at step 1. The rep on the phone says their support team has taken care of the paperwork to get the return processed so I can get my money back.
I am being told at this point it could be as little as 10 to 14 business days to get my refund, or as long as 2 billing cycles. WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON HERE? I have placed 7 phone calls and the shortest call was an hour and 20 minutes.
How am I supposed to believe anything they say. I just want my money back.

I purchased a Dyson V8 cordless vacuum on sale at Target based on my experience with other Dyson products. The Vacuum power is second to none, it did a great job (when working) on picking up pet hair and dust.
That was the good. Now on to the bad...
1. Battery life - Advertised as 30 minutes in high power mode. Battery doesn't last more than 15 minutes and it takes a full day to recharge meaning I have to vacuum my house on two separate days.
2.
Quality - Twice I have had a problem with the main motor dying while under warranty. This leads me to my next concern - customer service.
3. Customer Service - On my first time around I had to go back and forth as Dyson wanted to send me to a repair shop during the work day that was almost an hour away from where I live. That was just unacceptable to me.
Then they informed me that my particular part was back-ordered so it would be a few weeks before I had a replacement. I have a yellow Labrador so in two weeks my house was covered in dog hair.
4. I got my part and it worked again for a few months but again, same issue, main motor died. This time I go back and forth with customer service via chat and the agent is approved to send me a replacement of the model that was one level higher than mine.
This was agreeable to me so the agent sent me a label to return mine and told me that once they received mine, I would get a replacement within 5-8 days. They also told me all I had to do was bring the vacuum to UPS and they would pack and ship it for me.
5. I get to UPS and they tell me that they will pack it but I had to pay for it? That is not what the agent told me on chat.

I get it all packed, send it back, and it takes a full 8 days as the label Dyson provided used the slowest possible method for return.
7. I wait four days after they receive it before I reach out. I got no email, no shipping status, no tracking, so I decided to hop on chat again.
8. I spend about an hour on chat only for the agent to tell me that there was an error and my replacement was never ordered, and they cannot see where they received mine.
I provided the tracking information, and they said they redid the exchange order but now it is going to take 1014 days from shipping date to receive a vacuum. That means I will have to wait nearly a month to get a replacement. I asked them to use expedited shipping because of their error, and they told me it was "against their policy".

They told me I would be receiving an email giving me the details along with tracking and as of a day later I have nothing. Just overall not a great experience.

Very sadly I am writing as a new customer who started out being very excited to be the new owner of this stick vacuum. It swivels and turns with such ease, it gets into every corner and hard to reach nook like no other, and it moves so easily.
It even LOOKS like it is doing a great job.
However it has turned out to be a huge disappointment. When I lift up the vacuum, most of what I thought got sucked up, just falls out of the base. It also has a tendency to blow some of the detritis AWAY from the rollers instead of sucking it all IN to the machine. Ive tried doing everything suggested by Dyson that I could find in the user manual and under trouble shooting but none of that solved the problem.
It had a ridiculously difficult (near impossible) time sucking up the needles from my holiday tree; they all just piled up nicely (hiding) under the base of the rollers, sitting there for me to find when I picked up the vacuum to put it away.
Not sure there is anything that can be do e but it sure has put me off of buying from Dyson.
My husband identified a different model for me to look at but since my gift (the Omni Glide) was not in original condition (had been used once, uselessly, at that point) I assumed we couldnt return it. And I wasnt willi g to take a chance on another Dyson product, given my experience as described above.
If there is any satisfactory remedy available Id love to hear from you.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. Received a Full refund from them.
Never heard anything from them and attempted to get a refund through the CS hotline. Refund just showed up out of nowhere today. I did forward the link to pissed customer review to them several weeks ago so maybe that helped?
I guess I will never know. not a great experience but at least we got our money back finally.
Multiple calls were made, each met with false promises of callbacks and processing. Dyson's utter lack of regard for its customers is appalling and speaks volumes about their business ethics.
Save yourself the frustration and choose a company that values its customers and honors its commitments. Avoid Dyson at all costs.

My expensive Dyson V12 vacuum for 580 USD stopped working after less than a year, well within its warranty. I called Dyson's customer support which determined the machine could not be repaired but the head needed to be replaced.
Since then, I have contacted Dyson customer service numerous times, but the reps keep telling me 1) the new head is out of stock 2) they cannot send me a new or an alternate machine 3) they won't reimburse me. It's been over six months with no resolution.
The worst is that Dyson gives you the runaround. I've wasted hours and hours with them and will never buy a Dyson product again.

I have been a loyal customer of Dyson for years and have purchased thousands of dollars of your merchandise. I will be a customer no longer.
For the first time ever, I decided to return an itemthe Dyson Zone, because wearing these headphones gave me a headache. They were just too heavy for me. You received my return on Jan. 11 promising a refund in 7-10 business days.
After that time frame passed, I called your customer service department to see what was going on. I was told they were running behind and to give them a few more days. Two weeks later I called again to check back. I was told that a manual refund would be generated and I would get it in 3-5 business day.
More than a week later, I called to check back again and was told it would be 10-14 days. I finally turned this in to PayPal, which has found in my favor and refunded my money. I cant believe what poor customer service you have. Im not sure I would have ever gotten my refund.
This basically amounts to theft.
Thank goodness I used PayPal and had recourse to get my money back. I will no longer be doing business with your company.

I bought a Dyson V15 Detect last April 2023. In November 2023 the battery quit charging.
I had bought it from Nebraska Furniture Mart online because I have an account with them. So before I contact NFM personally I thought I would try customer service again. The item description is ( DYSON - 3683**-**-Dyson V15 Detect) list on the invoice from NFM.
The number of the battery is N2Y-US-SCA5096A. Please let me know if you can help with this issue.
Ps; Im not angry right now. But Ive read that Dyson is supposed to have a hassle free warranty and that all Dyson products have a 5 year warranty.
Its been less than a year since I bought the Dyson vacuum. I had emailed customer general service starting on November 29,2023 in regards to this issue and it hasnt been resolved.

Before I start, I want you to keep in mind that it takes AT LEAST ONE HOUR to get a customer care rep on the line... I purchased a Dyson HP02 on Dec 11th and called their customer service number the same day to make sure the purchase was confirmed. After waiting more than 10 days, I called on Dec 21st to ask what was going on because I was leaving for the holidays the next day and wouldn't return for at least 2 weeks. They told me they misplaced my item and couldn't figure it out.
After one supervisor and 3 HOURS on the phone with them, they found the item and said it would arrive the next day by 10 pm. I told them that wouldn't work for me as I wouldn't be in town and requested that they either delay the delivery until I returned or try to get the item to me by the end of the day. The rep told me that neither of those options was possible. I explained that anything could happen to the item as I live in an apartment building and asked that they send a written email accepting accountability should the item be stolen.
They agreed...that email never arrived. I returned home on Jan 7th to no Dyson, I spent an 1.5 hrs on the phone on the 8th with a rep (she was very rude) to try and figure it out. I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said no one was available but they would call me in an hour. Given the issues I had already faced and the lack of follow-through, I was against this resolution but she was unwilling to help me further.
We hung up around 2:00pm. I was expecting a call at 3 pm, it never came. I called again 5:30 pm, and again I was on the phone with them for another 2. 5 hrs.
This rep was really wonderful and she tried the best she could to get it resolved. Eventually, after a lot of back and forth with their supervisors, they said that UPS stated they had delivered the item. I asked that they send me the proof in an email (surprise the email never came). The rep told me the supervisors would call within the next 24 hrs.
The call never came.
And here I am now, $400 short and no heater. It's the dead of winter.
